| i have a 1964 vw bug that has lots of rust on the frame but the body looks like brand new idk how it happen it just did an i think of buying a 1963 vw bug an was wandering if the frame of the 1963 will work on the 1964 body so basicaly im doing a frame swap so if any one can help me out then that would be great |

Welcome to Bug-Talk vw buggies! Yes,you can swap any pan with any model year except the 1302 and 1303 as they are longer and have a different front suspension.You can take a 1951 split window bug and put a 1970 pan under it. _________________ Surgeon General´s Warning: This vehicle is equipped with a turbocharger and may cause spinal injury during acceleration.

Almost every part on the frame is replaceable and depending on how much work you have to do on the *new* frame, it may be worthwhile to just fix what you have....
